Sebastian Brantner and Carla Scharff-Hansen The concept for this building originated from the desire to preserve the integrity and identity of a small communal garden where residents of this neighborhood in the Eixample of Barcelona grow fruits and vegetables. The shared spaces of the building enable four apartments per floor to access shared amenities. These spaces are also thermodynamic, designed to harness the weather and seasonal changes to passively cool and heat the building.
